Law A Possibility For The Browns Posted By Jay Miles May 25, 2008

Boston Globe Reports: The Browns were already thin at cornerback after trading starter Leigh Bodden to Detroit to acquire nose tackle Shaun Rogers, so losing Daven Holly to a season-ending knee injury in practice last week was a stinging blow. Holly, entering his fourth season, was slated to compete for a starting job with Brandon McDonald. The Browns are now considering other alternatives, with Ty Law a possibility, although team officials said Law is out of their price range at this time.

Winslow's absence raises questions about motives Posted by D.A. Louis May 16, 2008

Dayton Daily News Reports: Kellen Winslow wouldn't be practicing anyway, but his absence from the Cleveland Browns' organized team activities this week is notable.
Unlike minicamps, the three weeks of organized team activities (OTAs) are not mandatory. However, players usually report so they can take part in conditioning drills and team meetings or rehab injuries.
It's unclear if Winslow's absence is health related or foreshadowing a contract dispute.
"When he gets here, we'll find out for sure exactly," head coach Romeo Crennel said Wednesday, May 14. "He's not here and I haven't spoken with him, so when he gets here I'll be able to answer that question."
Browns General Manager Phil Savage already has said the team has no intention of reworking Winslow's contract after it acted in good faith when he was coming back from his injuries and restructured the deal.

Jurevicius Could Miss Start of '08 Season Posted by Jay Miles June 16, 2008

WagerWeb.com Reports: Joe Jurevicius, expected to be the Cleveland Browns' No. 3 receiver this year, might not be ready to start the season, at least according to a report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Jurevicius, who already had planned to make this his final NFL season, has had multiple procedures on his knee in the offseason and is still rehabbing. He's not participating in minicamp, and it's not yet known what he'll be able to do in training camp. Jurevicius underwent arthroscopic surgery in January and suffered a staph infection soon after. He had the staph surgically removed and then underwent another more recent procedure.
