Sun Sentinel Reports: Two weeks after announcing that Jason Taylor wouldn't be attending any upcoming team-related activities, including training camp, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said that he told the Pro Bowl defensive end in a meeting last week that he and the organization want him back.
"I really wanted to make a point to Jason that we as an organization and certainly me as a head coach want to see Jason Taylor back here with the Miami Dolphins in uniform out on the field doing what he does best

McKinney signs deal; Fins add four rookies Posted by D.A. Louis May 20, 2008

Miami Herald Reports: The Dolphins added five players to the roster Monday, signing three late-round 2008 draft picks; veteran free agent interior offensive lineman Steve McKinney; and rookie free agent center Matt Spanos, from the University of Southern California.
The signing of McKinney, who started at both guard and center for the Houston Texans, gives the Dolphins the kind of a two-position interior lineman they lost when former starting center and guard Rex Hadnot went to Cleveland in free agency and the kind of player they thought they drafted when they took Drew Mormino in the 2007 draft. Mormino was waived last week after failing a physical and missing the entire 2007 season with a shoulder injury.

McCown Ready To Compete Post by Jay Miles May 13, 2008

miamiherald.com Reports: ''I'm excited about the fact it's an open competition, and so, in my mind, no, I don't think there's going to be anything that will stop me from becoming the starter here,'' McCown said Wednesday after spending another day working in Miami's offseason program.
He is working alongside John Beck. Soon, rookie Chad Henne also will be on the job. The three will engage in what promises to be the team's most scrutinized competition. But from McCown's perspective, this also will be the team's healthiest competition.
''I hope for the sake of our team and the quarterback position that in John Beck's mind he believes nothing is going to stop him, and in Chad Henne's mind there's nothing that's going to stop him from being the starter,'' McCown said. ``When you have guys competing as hard as we're going to compete, you're going to get the best out of us, and you'll get the best quarterback possible for this team.''
McCown is no stranger to quarterback competitions. He was the rookie in Arizona when veteran Jeff Blake was fading. But after disposing of one veteran he was, in turn, replaced by another veteran when the Cardinals turned to Kurt Warner
