Chad Johnson ponders Eagles - and Cowboys
Posted by D.A. Louis  June 5, 2008
The good news for Eagles fans is that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson is at least thinking
about wearing green.

The bad news is he's also thinking about life with a star on the side of his helmet.

"If I can get out of Cincinnati, the sky's the limit," Johnson told ESPN the Magazine. "What could I do in a
place like Philadelphia or Dallas? It would be ridiculous. It's gonna be like a whole new me, like Ocho Cinco
2.0."

Johnson, who for some reason is serving as a guest editor for the magazine, said in the same story that he
plans to play for the Bengals this season.

"Am I coming back?" he asked rhetorically. "Of course I am. I told my coaches I'm going to California to act,
but the truth is I may come back to the Bengals as early as June. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid."
Dawkins Not Optimistic About Sheppard
The Philadelphia Enquirer Reports:
Brian Dawkins provided an honest answer to a difficult question.

"In the right situation, that would be an awesome situation," the Eagles' six-time Pro Bowl
safety said yesterday during an interview at the NovaCare Complex. "This is not the right
situation."

Dawkins was talking about the Eagles' trio of cornerbacks who are scheduled to be in the
same place for the first time when the team meets Friday night. That's in preparation for
the post-draft minicamp, which starts the following morning.

This weekend's camp, which includes two practices each day Saturday and Sunday and
one Monday, will provide the first glimpse of how Asante Samuel, Lito Sheppard and
Sheldon Brown could be used by defensive coordinator Jim Johnson if they are all still
around when the season begins.
Eagles Notebook: Eagles' Sheppard doesn't deny trade to
Tampa is possible

Philadelphia Daily News Reports:
A source close to the situation, however, confirmed Jay Glazer's report on Foxsports.com,
which said Sheppard "was in Tampa on Wednesday to visit with the Buccaneers, who
have emerged as the front-runner for the two-time Pro Bowler.''
