Slim Chances for Tyree to Make the Team
Posted by Jay Miles June 16, 2008
This is London Reports:
The man who made the miraculous catch that led to the New York Giants winning the Super Bowl, may
soon be out of work.

David Tyree, the hero of last year's Super Bowl, is going to be hard pressed to make a roster spot with the
team this year. It was Tyree's amazing 32-yard circus catch on New York's game-winning drive that
earned him a spot in Giants' history.

However, off-season knee surgery has resulted in him not being able to take part in the club's summer
mini-camp.

With Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer certain to begin the season as the starters, and talented Steve
Smith, Sinorice Moss and Mario Manningham in a fight for snaps, the business reality of the NFL takes
president.
Giants to see Jeremy Shockey soon
Posted by D.A. Louis  June 5, 2008
New York Daily News Reports:
In the six weeks since, various members of the Giants' organization have left open the possibility that
Shockey could be traded by saying that he is only the team's starting tight end "right now."

However, many teammates and coaches and a few members of the Giants' front office have contacted the
27-year-old Shockey since the draft to let him know he is wanted and needed. Despite what he considers to
be a limited role in the Giants' passing attack, Shockey had 57 catches for 619 yards and three touchdowns
in 14 games before breaking his leg and missing the Giants' entire championship run.
Michael Strahan has a plan about future but keeps it quiet
Posted by D.A. Louis May 15, 2008
New York Daily News Reports:
"I'll be honest with you, I pretty much know what I'm going to do right now," Strahan said
Wednesday night at Cipriani in Manhattan, where he was a presenter at the Dreams in the City
fundraiser for the Diabetes Research Institute. "But you know what the thing is? If I say it, I can't
change my mind. So I would rather wait until I know I'm 100% sure that when I say what I'm going
to do, I'm going to do it."
Teammate thinks  Strahan will Retire

New York Post Reports:
"My inside tells me that Strahan played his last game with the New York Giants as a champion,
and that's not a bad way to go out," Antonio Pierce said on WFAN.
Saints Making Strong Attempt at Shockey
Posted by Jay Miles April 26, 2008
The National Post Reports:
The New Orleans Saints appear very interested in pulling off a deal to acquire disgruntled
New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey.

Saints coach Sean Payton, the Giants former offensive coordinator, has made no secret of
his interest in the four-time Pro Bowler.

That coupled with reports that Shockey is no longer interested in playing in New York is
fueling speculation that a draft-day trade is imminent.
While the Saints appear to be the only serious bidders for Shockey, the New York Daily
News reported Saturday that the club has yet to come close to the Giants' asking price.

Citing an NFL source, the Daily News noted that the Saints may be willing to increase their
initial offer of a second-round pick to possibly include a fifth-rounder.
Seahawks deny interest in Shockey
Posted by D.A. Louis April 24, 2008
Seattlepi.com Reports:
No, the club said Wednesday, after the New York Daily News reported that the Seahawks
are among the teams interesting in trading for the Giants' disgruntled tight end. The
Seahawks quickly dismissed the report, saying they have no serious interest in the
four-time Pro Bowler, who sat out the Giants' run to the Super Bowl after breaking his leg
in Week 15 of the regular season.
