Smith Skips Off-Season Training

Canadian Press Reports:
New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith skipped an optional off-season training session on
Wednesday, apparently because he is unhappy with his contract.
"You'd like to have all your players here. You know, it's not unusual. You just go around the
league and each team's got a player or two that's unhappy with a contract," Saints head coach
Sean Payton said.
Smith, who received about US$20 million in bonuses when he signed as a first-round draft
choice out of Ohio State in 2004, is slated to earn a base salary of $850,000 next season.

Henry wants to join Cowboys

Former Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry on Wednesday became the latest troubled player
to seek refuge with the Dallas Cowboys.Henry is awaiting trial for misdemeanor charges of assault
and a ruling from the NFL on whether he will be able to play in 2008. On Tuesday, an Ohio judge
ruled Henry be released from electronic monitoring and house arrest to travel for tryouts.
No visits have been scheduled, but Henry told ESPN.com the Cowboys and New Orleans top his
list of teams.
“New Orleans is home for me,” Henry said. “That’s always been a big dream of mine. Hopefully, I
can get in there and sit down with the coaches and maybe have an opportunity to get down there.
And Dallas is another team I looked up to as a kid and wanted to play for them.”
