2008 Target Players: AFC East
By Jay Miles  jmiles@progridironfootball.com

Every year, there is always that one player that each team, fans, and media are waiting to "break out".  PGF's Jay Miles examines a
player for each team he believes that everyone is waiting on in our 2008 Target Players.
but injuries and inconsistency led to Trent
Edwards getting the starting position.
Edwards has the early edge to get the job,
but it is not too late for him to be the
starting quarterback of the Buffalo Bills
with a strong preseason.
After being drafted #9 overall in 2007,
Most scouts said Ginn "was drafted too
high" and with last year's
performance...Most scouts were right.  Ginn
had trouble getting into the starting rotation
over last year's receiving corps and this
year's is even better.  He did show promise
at the end of the year with 7 catches, 53
yards, and a touchdown against the Bengals.
Laurence Maroney, RB Patriots
Maroney has the ability to be a top running
back in this league, but has he has not been
able to play a full 16 game season (Missing 2
games in '06 and 3 games in '07).  He has not
had a 1,000 yards or 10 touchdowns in a
season, but if he stays healthy I think this could
be the year.
Justin Miller, CB Jets
Miller was already known as a elite
returner in the league, but has not
received the label as a elite corner.
Drafted out of Clemson in 2005, he was
one of the best corners and return
specialist in the draft.  He was able to see
time in the secondary as a nickel corner,
but the Jets need him to take that extra
step and become a starter opposite of last
year's rookie Darrelle Revis.  He suffered
a major setback in 2007 with a season
ending injury and the Jets are hoping he
can recover from it.
J.P. Losman, Bills
Ted Ginn, WR Dolphins
