2008 Target Players: AFC South

Every year, there is always that one player that each team, fans, and media are waiting to "break out".  PGF's Jay Miles examines a
player for each team he believes that everyone is waiting on in our 2008 Target Players.
Travis Johnson, DT Texans
A former first round pick in 2005, Johnson
has never played a full season, has a total
of one sack, and has never forced a fumble
he has to show some progress or the
Texans have to look else for another
defensive tackle.
Joseph Addai, RB Colts
Through his first seven games of 2007
Addai was looking like an All-Pro running
back with 4 100-yard games and seven
touchdowns, but after Week 10 he never
rushed over 100 yards.  He had more
carries (261 in 2007) than the previous
year (226 in 2006), but averaged less
yards per carry (4.8 in '06 & 4.1 in '07).
Reggie Williams, WR Jaguars
in 2007 with 10 touchdowns, but only on 38
receptions.  It seems that the Jaguars are being
very patient with him in the past, but with new
receivers Jerry Porter (
Raiders) and Troy
Williamson (Vikings) arriving, now has to be the
he puts together a "complete season".
Mike Williams, WR Titans
A former top 10 pick in 2005, Williams has
another chance with the Titans.  Labeled as bust
in Detroit and could not get in the rotation for for
him to get his opportunity to prove himself.  If he
can prove his doubters wrong about his work
ethic, he should be able to see significant time
with the Titans and be a valuable red zone target
for QB Vince Young.
